
Roast Red Onion & Parmesan
These country style sausages have been a complete revelation to people where ever we take them. Actually we've watched families at the local Netball courts where we've done sausage sizzles simply chomp away at the sausage on a slice of white bread with some tomato sauce (there's a good old fashioned tradition). The thing is they just eat them happily. It's only later when they discover that they not only don't contain meat but that they're really good for you too, that the gasps of amazement start.
" I didn't realise that was what Tofu tasted like" and so on, is what we hear. And here is the thing that really surprised us - Dads loved them just as much as their daughters did.
Perhaps it is because so many of the meat sausages one buys these days actually aren't made from meat or rather because these are simply as delicious as they look on the pack. Whatever it is we know that people think these sausages, bar none, are the best they've ever eaten.
Serving Idea
Our country style sausages come in three wonderful flavours:
Try the Roast Onion with Parmesan - a slightly Italian taste.
Or the Sundried Tomato and Olive for something a little more picquant.
My favourite is the delicately herbed Rosemary, Sage and Parsley - simply lovely!
